GLASSBORO — A woman arrested on a DWI charge was moments away from being released when she became unruly and bit two police officers, police said.

Brittany Ledden, 24, of Williamstown, was arrested Monday night and was about to be released to family members, according to Glassboro Police, who said she became "unruly, hostile and out of control."

Police said that Ledden scratched two officers and bit their hands as they tried to get her under control, according to police. The patrolmen were taken to Kennedy Memorial Hospital for treatment and released while Ledden was taken there for an evaluation.

Ledden faces a slew of charges including DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, aggravated assault on police and resisting arrest.
