This week’s request that Big Joe ignored was from 1983; “I Couldn’t Say No” by Robert Ellis Orrall and Carlene Carter. She is the daughter of June Carter Cash but not the daughter of Johnny Cash. Carlene is also the ex-wife of Nick Lowe (of “Cruel To Be Kind” fame). It was the only Top 10 hit for either artist, rising to #32.
