With just a week of campaigning left for the hotly contested Democratic nomination in New Jersey's newly drawn 9th Congressional district, a former president is coming to campaign for Rep. Bill Pascrell.

A Pascrell spokesman says Bill Clinton is expected on Friday. Clinton announced his endorsement of Pascrell earlier this month. Pascrell is battling Rep. Steve Rothman in the Democratic primary.

The newly redrawn district is based on population changes reflected in the most recent U.S. census. Rothman decided to run for the seat instead of challenging Republican Rep. Scott Garrett in the 5th District.

Whoever wins June 4 is almost sure to be elected in November to represent the solidly Democratic district, which includes parts of Bergen, Passaic and Hudson counties.
