Bill Clinton Coming to NJ to Stump for Pascrell

Former President Bill Clinton will be in northern New Jersey this week to campaign for Democratic Rep. Bill Pascrell.

Clinton will join Pascrell for a get-out-the-vote rally at 4 p.m. Friday at Kennedy High School in Paterson.

Clinton announced his endorsement of Pascrell earlier this month. Pascrell is battling fellow Rep. Steve Rothman in a hotly contested Democratic primary in the 9th Congressional District.

The newly redrawn district is based on population changes reflected in the most recent U.S. census. Rothman decided to run for the seat instead of challenging Republican Rep. Scott Garrett in the 5th District.

Whoever wins June 5 is almost sure to be elected in November to represent the solidly Democratic district, which includes parts of Bergen, Passaic and Hudson counties.
