I was in Atlantic City Thursday night to visit our friends at Steel Pier. It was the very first time they lit up the new Observation Wheel.

It is the third largest in the U.S. and stands 220 feet high, which should make for some spectacular views up and down the coast line. There are 40 climate controlled gondolas and it will be open year round starting right around the Labor Day Holiday.

You'll be able to bring food and beverages on the gondolas and it is sure to be an attraction all on it's own in a town that already offers so much to see and do.

They're putting the finishing touches on the gondolas now and the crowd was treated to an impromptu lighting of the wheel for the first time Thursday night!
