Forty-four-year-old Michele Toussaint of Berlin was arrested Sunday night after a car she was riding in was stopped by police for a traffic violation. Toussaint reportedly told officers she was headed to police headquarters to turn herself in.

Authorities say Toussaint was driving with a suspended license when she hit 28-year-old Camille Calalang and her 20-year-old cousin, Lauren Jimenez. The accident occurred Saturday night in Voorhees.

Authorities say a tipster led them to the car on Sunday afternoon. Toussaint was arrested several hours later.

She faces charges of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, endangering an injured victim and causing injury while driving suspended.
