A northern New Jersey man has been charged with a sexual assault and three attempted assaults.

Dumont Police Chief Brian Venezio told The Record that 22-year-old Alex Sanchez-Medina of Bergenfield is also a suspect in peeping tom cases in Bergen County in July.

Authorities say he assaulted a woman in Englewood on July 27 as she was walking with her 3-year-old son.

He's also accused of one attempted assault in Englewood on Aug. 9 and two in Dumont. Both on Aug. 10.

Sanchez-Medina is being held at the Bergen County Jail on $400,000 bail. It was unclear if he had a lawyer.
