Jeanne Baratta, chief of staff for County Executive Kathleen Donovan, told The Star-Ledger that the 21-year-old worker was hurt in an accident as the park was closing on Friday and died early Saturday while undergoing surgery.

Baratta would not provide further details on the accident, citing the ongoing investigation. And the worker’s name was not disclosed because his family members were still being notified.
