New Jersey residents will soon be able to hunt more beaver thanks to a bill introduced by a bi-partisan group of lawmakers including Senate President Steve Sweeney.

The bill is intended to remove the limit on the number of permits the Division of Fish and Wildlife gives out for the taking of beaver. Under current law, the state can give out only 200 permits each year.

Hopefully if this bill goes through, you’ll be able to hunt all the beaver you want. Have you ever hunted beaver in New Jersey? How many did you bag? Where do you think the best place is to bag a beaver in New Jersey? Leave your comments below.
