So imagine my surprise when I get to my Sarcasm Comedy Club in the Cherry Hill Crowne Plaza and find 2000 people walking around with pointy ears and giving the ‘Live Long and Prosper” sign. It was the 2014 Star Trek Convention and it lived up to everything you think it would be.

Among the celebrities were Avery Brooks (Commander Sisko) , Gates McFadden (Dr. Crusher) , Rene Auberjonis, whom I remember from both the movie MASH and Boston Legal, Chase Masterson (DS9’s Leeta) , Aron Eisenberg (DS9’s Nog) and Nana Visitor (Major Kira Nerys)

I guess William Shatner doesn’t do hotels anymore because he keeps trying to negotiate the price.  Who will ever forget Shatner’s Saturday night spoof on Star Trek Conventions.

It’s great to know that after all these years that Star Trek conventions are alive and well. Some things just never die, My sons at age 6 are big into Star Wars and that was over 30 years ago but like Star Trek and The Beatles, they keep spiking with new things to keep them relevant like new series, movies, or iTunes.

What are the things from your past that you still enjoy today?
