As the massive rebuilding efforts began post-Sandy, many in New Jersey felt it would only be right for shore towns to stop charging them to walk on their beaches when it was our tax money that went towards the restoration. Summer is almost here. The unofficial start being Memorial Day Weekend, we're only days away. Interesting to learn that not only did the towns charging beach fees keep it that way, some are increasing those fees.

Seaside Heights for example hiked its day rate from $5 to $6, and its season pass from $45 to $50. Sea Girt, Ocean Grove, Spring Lake and Bradley Beach have also implemented increases. Do you feel like you're paying twice?
