Baby Bottles Briefly Close Newark Airport Checkpoint
The Transportation Security Administration is providing new details on a mix-up that closed a security checkpoint at Newark Liberty International Airport.
And it involves baby bottles.
The TSA says a family of three and their baby bottles went through a Terminal C checkpoint at about 1 p.m. Friday. Afterward, it was determined that equipment that screens liquids had malfunctioned and the bottles hadn’t been properly screened.
The checkpoint was closed for about 30 minutes while the TSA returned the family to the checkpoint to rescreen the bottles and other luggage.
