Autumn Pasquale Remembered At Park In Clayton

It was a year ago this weekend that the disappearance of Autumn Paquale sent police, friends and neighbors in Gloucester County on a massive search for the teen.

On Sunday she was remembered by her hometown of Clayton with a park renamed in her memory.

Little Ease Park, a park where the teen spent hours,  was officially renamed in her honor at a dedication ceremony according to WPVI TV. Her grandmother Mary told the crowd, ""Stay safe and create everlasting memories" as a sign was unveiled with the new name.

The non profit organization Bianca's Kids was behind the change.

"You never think something like this would happen in a little town like Clayton," Clayton Mayor Tom Bianco told the South Jersey Times. "I'm proud of my town. It made us come together as a community."

Pasquale went missing after failing to show up at a friend's home last October sparking a massive search by police, friends and family. Her body was found in a neighbor's recycling bin and two brothers were arrested. 

Dante Robinson was charged with Pasquale's death while his 16-year-old brother Justin pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter and was sentenced in September to 17 years in prison. He said he acted alone when he strangled Autumn after luring her to his Clayton home in October 2012.

Pasquale's family has filed a civil suit against the brothers' parents claiming they should have known about their sons' behavior.
