Ray Rossi

Ray "el rey de la noche!"....merely a guy with a microphone, a transmitter, and an internet connection.  I'm proud to host New Jersey's only all live/all local/all night show...every weeknight from 11 to 3...spreading the gospel of the Garden State to every corner of the globe at nj1015.com...at home on 101.5, and both of us at 1-800-283-1015!. I've been a resident of Manalapan since 1987, and have watched the town grow to where we now have our own Pastosa Ravioli store. No more going to Brooklyn! Who'da thunk?! And I don't plan to move out of here any time soon...unless the government makes it unbearable, which could always happen...in which case maybe I'll go back to my grandmother's little village in Nola, Italy and speak in non-incoherent Neapolitan much to the amusement of the locals.

I don’t get to watch “Mike and Molly”, so I never got to see how “insane in the membrane” Melissa McCarthy is until my wife got me to see “Bridesmaids.”

She steals the movie.

So it comes as no surprise how she steals the show with what I think to be one of the funnies SNL bits of all time

Neighborhood Nicknames – Do They Take the Place of Real Names.

Growing up, we had plenty of characters in the neighborhood with nicknames.
Names that were derived from some physical characteristic or maybe a derivation of their real name.

A guy we knew as “Brillo” was dubbed that, because of his kinky hair

Where’s the Worst Place in Jersey for Deer Collisions

Hardly anywhere in New Jersey is safe from the possibility of the deer/car collision; unless you travel through Newark; where there’s always the possibility of getting carjacked.

But where are you most likely to get into a collision with a deer, and how many times have you had a collision with what some call “pine rats?”

Many times it’s unavoidable to hit one, especially when one seems to come out of nowhere

Regional and Foreign Accents – Which Do You Find to be the Most Grating and the Most Charming?

I love to hear people that speak with an accent.

Either regional or foreign, accents intrigue me.

It's like trying to crack a code.

And even though I’ve been in the broadcasting industry for 35 years and have worked real hard to lose my Brooklyn accent, there’s just no getting rid of it

Is the Rutgers Basketball Controversy Penn State Redux [POLL]

There’s an old saying: A fish stinks from the head down.

Consider the statement just released by Rutgers President Robert Barchi on the firing of head basketball coach Mike Rice.

And just like trying to find “Waldo”, you tell me what’s wrong with this.

"Rutgers University has a long
