David Matthau

David Matthau has been covering New Jersey news for more than 20 years, and he’s been New Jersey 101.5’s lead investigative reporter since 2000.

David has covered a number of breaking news stories, including the 9/11 Terror Attacks, the Jersey based Anthrax Attack Investigation, and the resignation of Governor Jim Mcgreevey.

Most recently, he served as the radio pool reporter – traveling with Governor Christie’s motorcade that toured areas of North Jersey devastated by hurricane Irene.

David has also covered the campaigns of former Governors McGreevey and Corzine, and current Governor Chris Christie, as well as U.S. Senators Frank Lautenberg and Bob Menendez.

Additionally, David broke the story – in a series of reports – on New Jersey’s crumbling, dangerous bridges.

David has won numerous Associated Press awards for coverage of Jersey stories, and he’s been featured as an expert reporter on CNN’s Nancy Grace show, covering various topics including the Prom Mom Baby dumped in Trash segment.
