In my spare time, I listen to music (I have a large CD and vinyl record library). I walk, and I work out at the gym. I enjoy books with cool characters and clever plotlines (Stephen King, for example). And, I'm turning my dirtbike into an on-road motorcycle. So look out, here I come! Feel free to visit The Night Shift's Facebook page for lots of album covers and other cool stuff as a companion to the show.

McDonald’s candles vs New Jersey candle
Would you believe...
Ronald and his pals will be offering candles that smell like ... hamburgers. With this catch: You've got to burn several candles at the same time, to get the full burger effect.
The "Quarter Pounder Scented Candle Pack" will include: bun, ketchup, pickle, cheese, onion, and beef-scented candles...
New Jersey’s Greatest Hits on Cassette
Two weekends ago, I asked you if you remembered the cassette (click here).
Cassettes sounded great in your "Walkman." I had the Panasonic version of the Sony Walkman, in the late 80's. It wasn't cheap, but it cost less than its inspiration...
Craig Allen’s Fun Facts: “I Ran (So Far Away)” by A Flock Of Seagulls
"I Ran (So Far Away)" is the lead song on a "concept album" about an alien invasion of Earth. The whole album is a prime example of a "period piece" I call the 1980's.
Wind-swept hair...got its start here.
"A Flock Of Seagulls" was a new-wave band...
New Jersey’s Greatest Hits on Cassette
Remember the cassette?
Or as my niece and nephew call them: "You mean those square things?"
Rectangular, actually.

Craig Allen’s Quick and Easy Hamburger Soup
The snow is falling...and you need to warm up with some fast and easy, hearty, comfort food.
I'd like to suggest the "Hamburger Soup" that I...threw together!
Remember, I said quick and easy, so I am cutting corners with some "prepared" ingredients...
Make Craig Allen’s ‘Aunt Emma’s Brown Cookies’
Right before Christmas, Bob Williams (New Jersey Traffic North) and I got to talking about making Christmas cookies.
At that point it was just that. Just talk.
Between it being almost Christmas, and the fact that I'm a busy guy...I do a lot around New Jersey 101...
Rock into 2020 with Craig Allen
It's almost 2020...wow!
Join me (Craig Allen) as we say goodbye to the year that was...and HELLO to a New Year, and a new decade, full of promise.
I'll be playing your favorite PARTY HITS--commercial free--from 7:00 right up til midnight...
Christmas Displays in the rest of Craig Allen’s neighborhood
It's fair to ask: What does the rest of the neighborhood do when "FedEx Pat" and "Cornershow Bob" wage a "Friendly Christmas Lights Competition?"
Craig Allen’s neighbors: Christmas Lights competition continues
I've written about this "friendly competition" here at nj1015.com for quite a few years.
My whole neighborhood loves when "FedEx Pat" and "Cornershow Bob"..."string up the lights." (for earlier pictures and story, click here).
"FedEx Pat" puts up his entire display over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend...
Christmas cereal on the Shelf
Move over, pumpkin spice cereal...
...you're so...October.
When it comes to "limited edition" or "seasonal" breakfast fare, I think that I may have found the ultimate on New Jersey grocery store shelves:
"Elf On The Shelf" cereal...
