BURLINGTON COUNTY


The Greater Burlington Chamber of Commerce hosts the Annual Festival of Lights in the City of Burlington from 3 - 10 pm. Fesivities start with food and merchandise vendors on the Promenade, live band performances by The Privleged Few and Acoustic Explorer. Decorated and lighted boat parade on the Delaware River at 8 pm and fireworks at 9:30P pm. Registration for the boat parade is free. Rain date: August 7.

Trek and paddle along the edges of the Mullica River at Goshen Pond and discover its secrets. Join Pinelands Adventures Naturalist and Educator John Volpa for a Pine Barrens sampler, a three-hour exploration of Pine Barrens life. This program includes a shore walk to learn about uplands and Atlantic Cedar Swamp habitats, conduct a water quality survey, try dip and seine netting. This guided adventure also includes a 90-minute canoe trip on Goshen Pond. Great for families and recommended for kids age 8 and older.

CAPE MAY COUNTY


Join us for our 35th Annual Tuckahoe River Canoe, Kayak & Paddle Board Race and Poker Run! Fun for the whole family. $15 Registration fee before July 24; $20 after July 24. Fee includes a free commemorative T-Shirt. 50/50 and Kayak Raffles available, too. Food will be available. Bring your beach chair and cheer on the racers, or bring your kayak and join in the non-racing Poker Run. Stand-up and cheer for the youngsters at the 83rd Annual Cape May Baby Parade. The parade will march off at 11 am from Congress Street along Beach Avenue and end at Howard Street. Post parade there will be an awards ceremony held in Cape May Convention Hall. Trophies will be awarded in five separate categories: Pretty Baby, Decorated Baby Carriage, Children Walking in Fancy Dress, Children Walking in Comic Dress, and Decorated on Wheels. This all-day festival features local craft beers to wash down favorite summer picnic foods such as steamed crabs, crab cakes, steamed shrimp, pulled pork, corn on the cob, potato salad and more. Join us for the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market Summer Edition! Over 200 unique, DIY vendors and a dozen food trucks! The Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market is a punk rock-inspired flea market that takes place three times per year in Trenton, NJ. We include 200+ vendors from more than eight states selling everything from vintage clothing, original artwork, antiques, silk-screened posters and handmade jewelry to handmade t-shirts, vintage toys, vinyl (of course), bone jewelry, taxidermy and numerous other interesting curiosities and unique collectibles. We also join forces with a dozen of the tri-state's BEST food trucks to offer an incredible array of cuisine. The TPRFM hosted our first event in January 2013 and welcomed just over 50 vendors and has grown, in a few short years, to hosting over 200 vendors with 250 tables. We were recently named one of the Best Flea Markets in America by Huffington Post.

Kortney's Challenge 2 Mile FUN Run/Walk at Monmouth Park is an event that brings the community out to support pediatric brain tumor research and gets everyone moving for a great cause. This flat 2 mile course caters to anyone of any age, beginning runners, advanced runners that want to improve their short distance time, and walkers. The top 3 boys and girls, 12 & under, and top 3 men and women, 13 & over, will receive a trophy. Before the event, starting at 8:30 AM, Registration begins and FREE tattoos and face painting does also. At 9 AM watch the Dance Plus Performance Team and join us for our group stretch before the event.  The race's official start time is 10:00 am.  Free Family Fun events offered in the track picnic area after our event. 107.1 FM will be playing music and bringing their prize van. Every participant for Kortney's Challenge will receive a goody bag of great donated items and tickets for FREE Grandstand entrance to the racetrack.
