MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — It's the case of the stolen ATM at a South Jersey diner.

Thieves cut the phone, cable and internet lines to the Court House Diner on North Main Street and removed the machine sometime between late Friday and early Saturday morning, according to Middle Township Police.

The suspects came into the diner through the lobby door, whose lock was cut, and took the ATM, which contained $4,040 in cash. Police said the thieves dragged the machine down the sidewalk, where it was loaded into a waiting vehicle and driven off.

Police asked anyone with information about the theft to contact them at 609-465-8700.
