In light of last month's tragedy in Connecticut, officials in Somers Point have put together  a program where police officers will soon begin to patrol all of the city's public, private and charter schools.

The schedule is tentatively set for an officer to be at the schools between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, which had a reporter present when the announcement was made on Thursday, a patrol car will also be stationed outside of each school.
