Assemblyman Reed Gusciora will propose to the Transportation Committee today to make anyone eligible for deferred deportation status and a work card to have the ability to obtain a driving card from the Motor Vehicle Office.

The cards would have the same privileges as a driver's license. The cards would be available to those who have been in the country for 5 years and up to 30 years old. Applicants must have no criminal record and must have graduated high school or be a veteran.
