State lottery officials say a Mega Millions ticket worth $250,000 that was sold at a central New Jersey supermarket last year will soon expire.

The ticket for the Oct. 5, 2012 drawing was bought at a Wegmans on Route 9 South in Manalapan and matched the five winning numbers but not the Powerball. The winning numbers for that drawing were 8, 9, 16, 32 and 39, with a Mega Ball number of 15 and a Mega multiplier of 3.

Lottery officials strongly recommend that the ticket holder sign the back of the ticket and immediately contact them. If the ticket holder doesn't claim their prize by Oct. 5, the ticket will expire.
