It was a weird budget day at the State House.

Christie's office leaked the story that the NJEA had agreed to a 'Roadmap for Reform,' which was supported by the governor. It was quite a political coup.

But, the NJEA was not quite ready to hand their archenemy a victory.

The union issued a statement saying that they had agreed to continue talks with the Christie Administration, but that no deal was yet reached.

They chided Christie for choosing politics over policy.
