The weekend forecast worked out reasonably well.

There were some heavy downpours and thunderstorms in Central Jersey, particularly Mercer County, during the Saturday evening period.

Other than that, Sunday was hot with highs in the low 90s; 93 at Newark Liberty Airport.  Everybody else was 90.

We are going to have a hot week, no question about that.

Temperatures will be in the middle to possibly upper 90s over the next few days.  There may be some relief at the beach if a sea breeze pops up.  More so tomorrow than today.

As far as thunderstorm activity in this heat and humidity, there's just the slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm today or tomorrow.  But, I think basically most of the state, unfortunately, is going to be rain-free for the days ahead.

So, it looks like 90s through Thursday, and probably Friday.  As we get into the upcoming weekend, we may catch a bit of a break.
