It's a tricky forecast today.  We think there will be a changeover to sleet and freezing rain, and rain working its way northward across the state today.

My final snowfall amounts for late tonight are based on the idea that after the first round of snow changes over, we'll have another round of snow overnight that will give us a final total of as much as a foot or more North of I-78, six to 10 inches along Rt. 1 and four to eight inches in parts of South Jersey, but much less along the South Coast.

If the change over doesn't go back to snow, or it doesn't snow that hard tonight, the amounts will be at least a few inches lower.

Temperatures will be in the 20s and 30s Thursday, but temperatures will be back to around 40 with some sunshine returning Friday and it looks as though we have the chance of snow later Friday night into early Saturday, maybe a few inches even.

Saturday should be partly sunny with temperatures in the 30s.  Mostly sunny on Sunday, with temperatures in the 30s.

Things should warm up next week.
