A tweet from NJ Transit blames earlier Amtrak power problems causing "staggered train travel through the tunnel and delays of 60 minutes in and out of New York Penn Station.

"All power now restored after earlier issue with overhead power system," Amtrak spokesman Craig Schulz wrote in an email to New Jersey 101.5, with operations back to normal in the tunnels."Engineering forces are working to determine the root cause of the issue but have made temporary repairs."

Cross-honoring of NJ transit train tickets is in effect with PATH at Newark Penn, 33rd Street and Hoboken stations. Cross-honoring for train tickets is also in effect for NJ Transit and private carriers buses out of Port Authority. and for NY Waterways.
