Animals Rescued From Burning Pet Store

The Pet Center on route 23 in Franklin Borough caught fire yesterday. A Franklin Borough police officer rescued the animals along with the help of volunteers. Birds, dogs, cats, gerbils, and a chinchilla were all moved to safety. No animals were injured and the fire, believed to have been caused by an electrical issue, was eventually knocked down by the Franklin Fire Department.
