Was the killing of a baby goat — found on a Clifton street with its throat slit — a bias crime?

Clifton Police and the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the possibility after the goat was found on Allwood Place, an area that has large Jewish population, according to NorthJersey.com.

Detective Sgt. Robert Bracken told the newspaper that the incident appears to be animal sacrifice and purposely left in the street.

"We’re investigating where it came from and the intent of the act. The intent behind it is unclear," said Bracken.
