Mike Trout, Albert Pujols and Raul Ibanez hit consecutive home runs off Bartolo Colon in the first inning, setting the tone for the Los Angeles Angels' 14-2 rout of the New York Mets on Sunday in the decisive game of their interleague series.

Hank Conger also went deep against Colon, who won the AL CY Young Award in 2005 with the Angels.

C.J. Wilson (2-1) allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings with nine strikeouts and three walks. The Angels have scored 23 runs in the left-hander's last two starts, including a 9-1 victory last Monday at Houston.

Colon (1-2) gave up nine runs and 11 hits in five innings, allowing at least one hit to every batter in the Angels' starting lineup after pitching seven innings of six-hit ball last Tuesday during a 4-0 victory in Atlanta.

The 40-year-old right-hander signed a two-year, $20 million contract with the Mets in December as a free agent after going 18-6 with a career-best 2.65 ERA in 30 starts for Oakland.

The four homers and nine earned runs against Colon equaled a career worst in both categories. It was the fifth time the 17-year veteran allowed four home runs in a game and the first time since June 7, 2009, with the White Sox against Cleveland.

Mets third baseman David Wright and second baseman Daniel Murphy were ejected in the top of the seventh by plate umpire Toby Basner, one of two Triple-A call-up umpires working the game.

Wright and Murphy were called out on strikes earlier in the game and both took exception with Basner's strikeout call with Travis d'Arnaud at-bat. It was the fourth career ejection for Wright and the first for Murphy.

During the singing "God Bless America" in the seventh-inning stretch, Mets manager Terry Collins stood next to Basner at home plate. The two could be seen chatting.

The Angels came out swinging and got all three of their homers in a span of seven pitches. Trout drove his fourth of the season into the center field trees with one out and Pujols deposited his third into the left field bullpen.

Ibanez, who slugged a tying three-run shot off closer Jose Valverde in the ninth inning Saturday night for his 2,000th career hit, connected against Colon before the Angels added another run with doubles by Kole Calhoun and Ian Stewart.

It was the first time three Angels batters homered consecutively since July 27, 2009, when Juan Rivera, Kendrys Morales and Mike Napoli did it against Cleveland's Carl Pavano.

Colon was the first Mets pitcher to yield three in a row since June 8, 2012, at Yankee Stadium, when Robinson Cano, Nick Swisher and Andruw Jones connected against Johan Santana.

NOTES: Stewart hit his first home run for the Angels in the eighth inning. Mets pitchers have given up 21 homers in their first 12 games. ... Wilson received double-digit run support in four of his starts last season (3-1). ... Two of the Angels' runs came on wild pitches by Scott Rice and John Lannan. ... Angels RHP Matt Shoemaker, who gave up a game-deciding home run to Anthony Recker in the 13th inning of a 7-6 loss Saturday night, was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake along with RHP Dane De La Rosa. LHP Jose Alvarez was recalled from Salt Lake, RHP Yoslan Herrera's contract was purchased and LHP Brian Moran was transferred to the 60-day disabled list.
