Andover Man Sentenced For Nursing Home Sex Assault
Prosecutors say a former security guard at a northwestern New Jersey nursing home has been sentenced to seven years in prison for sexually assaulting a disabled patient.
Joshua Murch of Andover must serve three years before becoming eligible for parole. He also must register as a sex offender under the sentence imposed Friday and will be under lifetime parole supervision once he's released from prison.
The 30-year-old Murch had pleaded guilty last November to sexual assault, admitting that he engaged in sex acts with a 60-year-old woman at the facility in Andover Township.
Authorities say the woman suffers from numerous physical and mental problems.
