So once again our legislators are discussing putting a total ban on smoking at NJ beaches.

The governor has the right idea. Let the NJ municipalities decide for themselves. Why make a sweeping judgement for every beach along the shore? Why can't we have smoking sections on the beaches?

For a state that has so many legislators, among others, that have been pandering to legalize marijuana, which you smoke, the outcry when someone lights up a cigarette seems a bit too much.

It's time that America, starting with New Jersey, stop demonizing people's habits. There are things that are way worse that happen on NJ's beaches than smoking. Littering being one of them.

What do you think? Do you think that smoking ordinances on the beach should be left up to the municipalities? Cast your vote on our Twitter poll below.
