Police say a New Jersey woman's blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit when she told an officer "I'm looking for New Jersey" ... while in Jersey City.

The New York Daily News reports a Port Authority police officer stopped to question 31-year-old Karol Andino of Bergen County after she stopped her 2000 Volkswagen Beetle near the entrance and stepped out.

It quotes police saying Andino told Officer Rhett Peppi she was “looking for New Jersey" — but Peppi told her she was already there. Andino repeated to Peppi, “I’m looking for New Jersey,” the report quotes police saying.

She reportedly told the officer she’d "had a few drinks" — before failing a breath test.
