Route 9 in Manalapan has been reopened following an accident involving pedestrians getting off a NJ Transit bus in Manalapan early Monday morning.

News 12 reports 4 young adults getting off a bus at Gordon's Corner Road from Manhattan were struck by a white vehicle, sending 2 to the hospital. One person struck landed on the windshield of the vehicle while another was thrown.

Video from the scene showed sneakers and broken glass on the northbound side of Route 9 which was closed at Franklins Road.

The Monmouth County Prosecutors Office is investigating the incident.
