Joe Lupo, the casino's senior vice president, says its first tournament has been suspended for 24 hours as the state Division of Gaming Enforcement investigates.

He says other tournaments are not affected and will be played as scheduled, and that he expects the investigation to be completed by Saturday at noon.

Lisa Spengler, a spokeswoman for the gaming enforcement division, tells The Associated Press that her agency and New Jersey State Police "are aware of a situation involving counterfeit chips."

She declined further comment, saying the matter remains under investigation.
