Motorists continue to see sharply lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of regular gasoline in New Jersey on Friday was $3.45, down 8 cents from last week. It's also much less than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.72.

Gas Buddy reports prices as low as $3.119 for regular in some areas of the state.

Meanwhile, the national average price fell by 5 cents to $3.56. That's also much lower than the national average from a year ago, which was $3.75.

Analysts tell Mid Atlantic AAA that the drop should continue. Crude oil, the primary factor in determining gasoline prices, has dropped nearly 17 percent in the last month. Crude oil closed Friday at $84.36.

This is the ninth straight week prices have fallen in New Jersey.
