AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $2.11, down 5 cents from last week. Motorists were paying $3.28 a gallon a year ago.

This marks the 12th straight week that pump prices have fallen in New Jersey.

Prices at some pumps around the state are below $2.

The national average price on Friday was $2.36, down 6 cents from last week. That's also much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.42.

Analysts say pump prices will likely continue to drop in New Jersey this week and into the fall.
