I'm driving back from Target today and I'm in Monmouth Junction on Ridge Road. That's when I saw this feeding frenzy and disturbing nature show right outside my car window. What looks to be a deer, which I'm going to assume was struck and killed by a car, is off the shoulder of the road about 10 feet into a field. Surrounding it, feeding off of it like a buffet line, are what I think are turkey vultures. I'm no expert but that's my best guess as to what they are. Why did I feel compelled to share this? One, I'm wondering if I'm correct about them being turkey vultures. Let me know. Two, you just don't see this sort of dark side of nature every day. Apologies to the weak stomached.
