A snowy Saturday is winding down in New Jersey.

The heaviest of the snow has already fallen with accumulations between 1 and 4 inches. The National Weather Service's  Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 7PM for most of the state except the southern most counties including Ocean, Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland  and Burlington.

Winds will pick up in the evening and continue on Sunday to blow around any accumulated snow.

Light snowfall from this fast moving system began falling Saturday morning and will spread north. 1-3 inches should fall in most areas with 4-6 inches expected over the western areas of Hunterdon, Morris,Warren and Sussex counties.

The rain will mix with and change to rain in Salem County but stay all snow elsewhere. No sleet, freezing rain or ice is expected.

No coastal flooding is expected from this storm.

New Jersey Transit will be cross-honoring tickets system-wide today because of the expected snowstorm. Travelers can use NJ Transit tickets on trains, buses or the light rail system-wide. Cross-honoring will be in effect for the entire day.
