A New Sensor in Your Mouth Can Monitor your Drinking, Smoking and Eating
By Bill Doyle:
Researchers in Taiwan have developed a sensor designed to be embedded in your mouth.
It is Wi-Fi enabled and can send the information about your eating and drinking habits as well as smoking activity directly to your doctor or dentist. According to the researchers, the device is accurate 94% of the time in detecting what activity is being engaged in. It can differentiate between eating, coughing, speaking, smoking, drinking, and breathing. The tiny circuit can be fitted between two teeth or mounted like braces.
