A New Invention Mows, Trims, And Edges

Lawn
Taratorki/ThinkStock
I know this identifies me as a solid middle-aged suburban guy, but when I saw this story on Philly.com about two guys who are trying to patent their invention of a lawn mower that edges and weed whacks, too, I got really excited. I wasn’t exactly sure how it worked from the description in the article, but there is animation of what it would look like on this site.

Imagine being able to make just one pass with your lawn mower and get three chores completed; it promises to be more powerful than your standard issue edger or weed eater because it uses the power from the lawn mower engine. The two Philly-area guys who developed it are both in their seventies, but I have a feeling they’re going to be very rich.
