High temperatures yesterday reached the upper 70s to near 80s, pretty much as expected.

Overall today, it should be rain-free with just the mix of clouds and sunshine, not too humid, and highs in the lower 80s or so this afternoon, though it'll be in the cooler 70s at the beaches.

Clear to partly cloudy for the nighttime hours ahead with overnight low temperatures generally ranging from the 60s, a few 50s possible in NW Jersey, and we look for some readings near 70 along the south coast.

Clouds and some sunshine tomorrow with just the chance of a Wednesday shower with temps in the mid 80s away from the ocean.

Partly sunny Thursday in the 80s, but cooler again near the beaches.

Friday and the weekend looks okay from here.

We have the ninth tropical depression of the season, soon to be a storm.  It's going to be moving through the Leeward Islands.  Probably by Sunday night, it will be in the vicinity of Western Cuba, perhaps targeting South Florida.

More on that in the days ahead.
