Christie's lack of foreign affairs experience and savvy has come under fire, something that critics point to as a reason he is not qualified to run the country.

The New York Times reports that Christie recently fumbled a question about Russian during a meeting with top GOP donors.

Because of the growing scrutiny on the issue, Christie's trade mission trip this week to Mexico comes with greater urgency to demonstrate a level of foreign policy acumen, which has eluded him so far.
