I once had the pleasure of meeting Jon Bon Jovi in 1982 when he came knocking on the radio station door I was working at in Philadelphia with his single "Runaway."

I ran into him a few more times over the years, but I do not have any real connection to the man who definitely belongs in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. So when I received an email from a fan who asked me to forward it to him, the best I can do is put it here and hope that Jon either reads it or someone gets word to him.

Here goes...We have the info in case there is a desire to respond.

Dear Jon,

The concert at Mohegan Sun on April 1st 2017 is going to be an epic day for me, my family, and a nurse who saved my son’s life and my life on June 16, 2010.

My family has helped me to purchase the “It’s My Life Gold VIP Package” for me and Pam, the nurse.  My husband and I are not buying Christmas gifts for each other because that money went towards purchasing the backstage passes for Pam and I.  I can never completely repay her for saving our lives or show her the gratitude and appreciation my family and I have for her, but I am praying that I will make her dream and my dream come true by being able to meet you and take a picture with you.

Pam and I have a strong bond that started the moment when the worst possible scenario in the labor and delivery room began and our bond  grew so much stronger when we found out we are both huge Bon Jovi fans. She will claim to be the bigger fan, however, I am from Jersey and I met your wife once. Since 2010, we have gone to every single one of your concerts in New England together, and yes we are both Patriots fans, again, I am the bigger fan.

We were even so fortunate enough that we were at the opening night of your last tour at Mohegan Sun and it had to be rescheduled because of the blizzard. My husband was so angry with me and you because Pam drove us from Cranston, Rhode Island to Mohegan Sun during a state of emergency and a driving ban.

We had 2 nurses badges with us, just in case we got pulled over. Nothing was going to stop us from going to the concert.  We almost fell over when we learned the show was rescheduled but you would be performing for the guests at the casino. We were blown away and in complete shock when we watched you perform 3 rows from the stage. It was an unbelievable night.

April 1, 2017 is going to be another unbelievable night at Mohegan Sun. A 32-year-old dream of mine will hopefully come true or it will be the closest I was to having it come true, my hero’s dream will come true, hopefully, and it is going to be the very first time my 3 children will be at a Bon Jovi concert. I can’t wait for them to see you live. You have been in their ears or faces their entire lives and they will finally get to see you live and in person. Thank goodness they are sitting in a different section because they would definitely be embarrassed and I don’t give a s**t!

I’ve been told that I should not get my hopes up with getting to meet you and take a picture with you. I am hoping you can make an exception and find just a few minutes  so we can introduce ourselves, stare in awe, and get a once in a lifetime moment captured and framed.

With fingers crossed and livin’ on a prayer (literally),

Kelly Gallo
