As you may have heard my wife and I welcomed our latest addition to our family on Thursday at 1:49pm. Cooper Joseph Deminski, weighing in at 6 lbs 14 oz. I don't want to be like every other proud, excited father and annoy everyone with endless baby pics, but you can thank late Senator Frank Lautenberg for the law that requires me to show them to you. Lautenberg's Family Photo Obligation Act clearly states that any violation of the requirement to show as many people as possible photographs of your newborn child is punishable by 2 years in federal prison and a $25,000 fine. (Okay, not really.)

I want to say a huge thank you to the staff at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick for being so amazing. We had Atticus there too a year and a half ago and the nurses make you feel like you're their only patient. They are highly skilled, incredibly kind, and all around terrific. Even bigger thanks to the NICU department for understanding my anxieties when he had to be brought there only 5 minutes after birth with breathing difficulties and an accelerated heart rate. The umbilical cord was wrapped tightly around Cooper's neck twice and caused some issues, but all turned out to be fine.

Finally, how do I say thank you to my wife and best friend Aubree for giving me such a wonderful family? There are some debts that just can't be paid.
