According to Robbinsville police, authorities received a 911 call at about 4:43 p.m. reporting the robbery in the area of Line Road.When police arrived at the Line Road cul-de-sac, they spoke with two girls who said they had been robbed at gunpoint while walking in a wooded area just off the cul-de-sac, according to a statement released by authorities. The suspect was described as a black male, about 6 feet tall, wearing black sweatpants, black hoodie and a black-and-white bandana over his face.

Authorities say the alleged suspect brandished a small, black handgun before taking the victims' purses and running from the scene. He was last seen heading west on Flock Road into nearby Hamilton, police said.

Authorities say multiple patrol units as well as a K-9 unit searched the area. Officers from Hamilton and West Windsor joined Robbinsville police in looking for the suspect "with negative results," Robbinsville officials said.
