The death of Notre Dame High School senior Jacob "Coby" St. Phard, who was hit by an NJ Transit train Sunday night, has been ruled a suicide, the Mercer County Medical Examiner's Office said Thursday.

St. Phard, 18, was struck west of the Hamilton station on Sunday night by a NJ Transit maintenance train headed from the Meadowlands maintenance center in Kearny to the NJ Transit yard in Morrisville, Pennsylvania.

The incident was investigated by NJ Transit and Amtrak police.

Services for St. Phard will be 11 a.m. Friday at Princeton Alliance Church, 20 Schalks Crossing Road, Plainsboro. A private funeral will take place at a later date, according to the Barlow and Zimmer Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the #flyinghighCoby GoFundme page, which was established to help "charities that Coby would love to help" or start a scholarship fund.

St. Phard had signed a letter of intent to play soccer for Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.
