JERSEY CITY (AP) — Police say three women suffered non-life threatening injuries after two gunmen fired into a crowd outside a housing complex near Jersey City's downtown.

The shooting happened shortly after midnight Sunday at Montgomery Court, which is west of the New Jersey Turnpike Extension off Montgomery Street.

Jersey City Police Spokesman Bob McHugh says the gunmen are still at large after firing multiple rounds into the crowd and fleeing on foot.

The three women who were shot are all Jersey City residents, ages 40, 32 and 29. McHugh says the names of the injured are being withheld out of concern for their safety.

All three women are in stable condition at Jersey City Medical Center.
