One person has died from Friday night's condo fire in Florence.

The Florence Township Fire Department said they discovered the victim Saturday morning as firefighters went through the building following the fire at the Florence Tollgate condominium complex. The blaze injured six people including two firefighters and a police officer.

The fire damaged all eight units in Building 39 and started on the second floor, according to the fire department. The American Red Cross assisted some of the residents with accommodations following the fire.

The victim was identified by her family to NBC 10 and other media outlets as 72-year-old Irene Thorn Avillion. Her niece, Lisa Reed, said she saw coverage of the fire, knew her aunt lived there and began checking on her aunt with other family members and Florrece fire officials.

Reed told the television station Avillion "loved people, loved her family. She would do anything, go out of her way for anybody.”

The fire department said their investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
