6 places you shouldn’t use your debit card

Bankrate.com put out this list of places you should think twice about using your debit card. Whether it's because of the ease of placing skimmers like at gas station pumps or the fact your card is swiped away from you like at restaurants, they say you're taking a gamble.

The list is:

• gas stations
• restaurants
• nonbank atms
• retailers
• hotels
• medical offices

Okay let's think about this. What does this leave? Massage parlors and the seatback of your airplane? They're pretty much saying you shouldn't use your debit card anywhere, which is obviously alarmist.
