6-alarm fire displaces dozens in Hamilton
Dozens of people were displaced after a 6-alarm blaze tore through a row of attached houses in Hamilton Monday afternoon.
According to a report by NJ.com, "Hamilton police were investigating the cause last night and were starting with a roofing crew that was working on the homes just before the fire, police and fire officials said from the scene."
No injuries have been reported and police and fire crews are still trying to determine exactly how many people lost their homes in the fire, which began about 4:30 p.m., according to NJ.com.
Crews from Hamilton as well as surrounding municipalities responded to East State Street to help battle the blaze.
"As many as 175 firefighters from as far as Burlington and Hunterdon counties were called to service to help put out the blaze," 6ABC reported Monday.
Earlier in the day, firefighters responded to another fire in a residence. The 2-alarm blaze broke out in a single-family house on Waverly Place, according to reports.
