The website Safewise, has created a report that highlights the top safest communities in NJ. The data was compiled as of 2011 and used information from the FBI and their own investigations as well. The communities that made the list included a population of 15,000 or more as of 2011.

Those looking for a home in Bergen County may be happy to know that 3 communities made the Top 10, including Mahwah, which ranked #1 overall. The other towns from Bergen County that made the top 10 were Dumont (#6) and Bergenfield (#8).
